Monica
Monica Foulston is a mixed-media artist whose work sparkles with curiosity, color, and a wink of mischief. Her pieces blend painting, collage, and ink to create playful worlds that invite viewers to look closer and smile.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Monica was exposed to a vast array of life styles, culture, and opportunity .Those experiences deepened her appreciation for both the ability to believe and pursue her dreams as an artist and teacher.
Her pieces have been shown in group and solo exhibitions. Monica also leads accessible workshops aimed at encouraging creative play for adults and kids alike, believing that art is less about perfection and more about permission.
When she’s not in the studio, Monica can be found in the classroom teaching children in her local school district. Monica makes work to welcome you in, make you grin, and remind you that everyday life is full of small and sometimes big surprises.
